I have Pest Patrol & believe I've accidently deleted a bridge.dll module required by SBC/Yahoo DSL to connect. I've read a lot of posts about the bridge.dll file & know that it is spyware, but is the error message I'm receiving telling me that the file is needed by SBC/Yahoo in order to connect or is my connection manager corrupted by believing it is needed?

My modem is fine. The power, ethernet, & DSL LED's are lit.

I cannot connect to my DSL service. I was able to a few days ago prior to doing a Pest Patrol scan & deleting this file.

The message I receive on the screen is the same as I have seen in other posts:

"Error loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\bridge.dll"
"The specified module cannot be found."

This is why I believe SBC connection mgr needs this file in order to connect. Am I correct? Has anybody else seen this issue?

Thanks.

Close the Browser. Run regedit

You might fine an entry with Bridge.dll in this registry-key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

Delete the entry with bridge.dll

Doing so will not canacell the file Run command.

However, if you sure that you need it you can find it here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?bridge

Be careful before you do any thing make sure that you can reverse the process if necessary.
