just a question I probably should already know.Is the bios actually accessed any more even if its shadowed after it has booted the machine and did the post and passed everything to the os.

We gotta have it around to get the hardware up and running without the OS. But now even the I/O functions are taken over by the OS. As well as power management. This is true for the keyboard and mouse too, no? Maybe the clock. SysOpt.com
