I installed a 6x dvd drive on my computer yesterday on the secondary slave channel and now my led stays on all the time. I'm not worried about it i'm just wondering.

The HD led on the case, or the led on the drive?

It is the led on the case. It is only on when the dvd drive is hooked to the ribbon cable.
