With windows drivers, my modem always showns the same 57,600 connect speed..

Seems when I use the drivers on the cd, the modem doesnt work(rockwell), but when I use the standard drivers in windows it works fine. Except the fact that I dont know my real connect speed /forum/frown.gif Is there anyway to change this so i can?

Go into device manager and click on modems then click your modem and choose properties. Click on connection then advanced and type W2 where it says extra settings. You can use that or find a string to use at http://www.56k.com and use it. Depending on what protocal your using, just find a string for it and use it.
