Which Motherboard?

My boss is selling me my choice of 2 computers. They both have the same hard drives (80g), ram (512m PC3200 DDR400) and video cards (ATI 9600 128m). They have different motherboards and processors. My question is which mb & cpu should I take?

System 1-Jetway JN2PAP Nforce 2 S462 400Mhz W/S/L DDR400 mb with a Athlon XP2800 333mhz cpu.

System 2-Jetway PT800DBP Via P4 S478 800Mhz L/A/DDr400 mb with a P4 2.8 512K 533Mhz cpu.

The computer will be used at home for Internet, family finances and some games such as Madden Football, NBA Live Basketball, High Heat Baseball Links Golf and Nascar Racing 2003 with all mods installed.

The cheaper one, but if they are priced the same get the AMD and Oc it to 3200+ speeds.:t

Thanks for the comments, I'm went with the Intel system. My boss sold both systems for $400 each. He gave me the choice of the systems. Thanks again.:t

That second system will smoke in everything you have listed..including all those games....

the first system is OK too with that NF2 board ( not bad )..but the P4 2.8 will smoke the 2.8 AMD ...more of a processor speed..and the memory is higher also in the second system, which means it will run at higher clock speeds...

I have a 2.8 P4 and a Via chipset board and they are very up to date... Are they the same price??

intel cpu's has more resale value - i like amd but yuo may want to upgrade
