How many are going to resign this time. It took me a grand total of 5 seconds to figure out those photo's were fake's. They cant even figure out that these photo's were fake before printing them, I mean even the issued equipment in the photo's they are not even using in Iraq... come on.

Does this mean the US are the only ones who abuse prisoners?
The Brits must have wanted to get in on it,
but there C in C didn't give them the go ahead.

I love it that the guy responsible was able to stretch his appology out over 4 pages.

How on earth can you say "I faked the pictures, I'm sorry" in more than a paragraph (or single sentence for that matter)?

British Tabloids are great at filling pages with nothing.

When Princess Diana died it was "Full story on pages 2,3,4,5,6,7,10,11,12,13 & 14

Whats to say?
1 page maybe 2 would have covered the lot.

The Editor didn't resign, he refused to backpeddle and was ordered to leave the building (with an escourt) or be pitched screaming from the roof of #1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf; where their Offices are located.

The Mirror is strongly anti-war and rather than a 4 page appology it was turned into an attack on the British Government for following GWB into Iraq on a false premise.

At least they're holding loyal to their beliefs ...The picture fiasco would have had most other British Tabloids grovelling at the Governments feet - Rupert Murdoch has a tabloid here [The Sun] along with the country's only Satellite TV Network [SKY], he ensures the tabloid follows the Government no matter where they lead. But I will add that SKY News is fairly neutral when it comes to it's reporting ... they tell it like it is.

its unfair to call it a british media blunder really. just that tabloid.

the aim of tabloids is too put as little text as possible in the page. big massive pics little text. some go to the extent of not fully justifying the text to that it looks like less text!!!! i think it just look sunproffesional.

It's strange, they didn't even need to make up some random pictures - Royal soldiers have mentioned how "hundreds" have been floating around, regardless.

Aww well. And to think, I thought American tabloids were bad. :)
