xp pro hard disk size

got a 160gb hard drive and going to install xp pro.
it wont recognise anything above 131gb. can i get this space back or is that all windows xp pro will recognise?

did you install service pack 1 or not?

hmm... I guess you didn't since it's a new install. download the setup program from the manufacturer in order to prepare the drive, then run the winxp install.

You could also do like I did and take your Original Win XP disk and create a slipstreamed XP service pack 1 disk to load windows. Here is a link to prepare it.
