Boot-->hang

I try to reboot the computer in win98 start meun but the system hang. And when I finished install the driver, software and reboot the system, the computer also hang.
Do any one know the reason?
There is no conflict between irq
My system is
amd k6-2 350
va 503+
et6000
yamaha 724 sound card

Try disabling APM, and/or remove your anti-viral program from startup.. that will fix it..

Have you installed the motherboard patches?

I spent hours of frustration with my K6 400 and the 503 before finally getting it stable.
