Hello Tried to over clock amd k6-2 333
ever since then can't use modem win98 returns message port aready open
I'm using lucent 56k modem, I think it might be an int 14 service 00 Problem,
because when over clocking received a blue screen saying C001 somthing VxD service 1400
proceed no/yes I replied with yes

Please Help

need more info guy.how did you o'c the chip?what are the jumper settings you used?did you raise the voltage any?If you are getting any bluescreens this is a sign that the system is not stable.this can be cured sometimes by raising the i/o voltage.try raising it .1 at a time until the bluescreens go away.also,if you return the chip to normal does this make all the probs go away?If not you may need to remove your comports and modem and reinstall them

the motherboard is FIC 503+ Award bios
Didn't increase io voltage, settings were bus speed 100 @3.5 clock,when I return to normal the problem developed,I formated and reloaded windows without modem then installed modem still the same.
Could have something been written to bios during overclocking?
not really sure exactly what was message on blue screen but remember c001 and service 1400 and VxD
