Know of any Admin tools I can use with a home network?

to limit bandwidth and monitor bandwidth usage?

I run some programs that take up alot of badwidth that hog the bandwidth from other users on my network, I need a way to limit my throughput "on the fly", I'd also like to know when a computer is making a request for bandwidth so that I can limit my throughput on those times.

XP Pro

Thank you for your time.

WinXP already has QoS (Quality od Service) which allows you to limit bandwidth.

Thanks for the QoS suggestion, it lead me to this

NetLimiter (http://download.com.com/3000-2071-10227459.html?tag=lst-0-1)

Another interesting program which prioritizes bandwidth (so you can download and surf the net at the same time)

Net Prioritizer (http://download.com.com/3000-2155-10285735.html)

-edit

More Up-to-date netlimiter version

NetLimiter (http://www.netlimiter.com/index.php?p=download)

After having tried NetLimiter, I have to say it is a Awesome program.

You can cap download and upload speed (one or the other or both) per program that accesses the net, and/or altogether for the system.

An excelent way to use something like bittorrent and still have enough upload to move around freely on the net.

I suggest you try it out.

Also: I has a great interface.
