playback video clips jumps \ skips

i think i posted in the rong room b4... so here we go again.

mpeg clips that worked fine on my older system, a P4 1.6 ghz, 512 meg ddr, 64 meg video card, are now skipping a beat. not always at the same point.

me new system is a P4, 2.8 prescot. 2x512 ddr400, 120 gig sata h\d, and a 128 meg video card,

any ideas whats wrong?

Have you checked for spyware, and made sure your drivers and player are updated?

New systems often have far too much running in the system tray, and that could be causing problems.
