It's early but it feels better than 1.2. jadinolf 05-13-2004, 07:42 PM Found stuff it never found before. crossedup 05-13-2004, 09:40 PM Thanks for the link and info Jakk, got it. :) Use it regularly, and update is always nice Prushka 05-14-2004, 01:55 AM Just downloaded 2.1 a few days ago...that was quick...found a couple more TY for the update... zybch 05-16-2004, 03:34 PM Originally posted by jadinolf Found stuff it never found before. Theres a surprse! I rarely use it as the definitions aren't updated anywhere near enough and it won't pick up a lot of the stuff that AdAware can. I'll give this new version a shot though. Rugor 05-16-2004, 03:37 PM I started using it when it was updating and Adaware wasn't. I now tend to use both as they each have strengths. Spybot is better at blocking spyware, and Adaware at removing it. However I've noticed more false positives on Adaware -- including e-books tagged as "tracking cookies." I think the new version is why the updates have really dropped off lately. Now that it's out we may well see more it updated more frequently. zybch 05-16-2004, 03:58 PM At least it looks and feels better than the old version and the Update option is nice and visible and in a good location. Still seems a little slow though. bob05 05-16-2004, 05:05 PM Originally posted by Rugor However I've noticed more false positives on Adaware -- including e-books tagged as "tracking cookies." One thing I noticed is that if I run ZoneAlarm's Cache Cleaner before I run Adaware, Adaware usually doesn't find anything. But if I don't, it almost is like it defines all cookies as "tracking" cookies. zybch 05-16-2004, 05:12 PM Thats because virtually all cookies are tracking cookies. Thats what cookies are used for. bonz_dragon 05-18-2004, 12:13 AM Just downloaded it, looks a little cleaner, Thanks! sm8000 05-19-2004, 10:29 PM Didn't like it, have reverted to Spybot S&D 1.2 with last updates. Sticking with SpywareBlaster for immunization. Prushka 05-21-2004, 12:43 AM Used S-bot 3.1 to quarantined some questionable registry files, which in turn caused some browser programs. Using restore is a snap and all is well. They sounded sooo suppect :r crusious31 05-21-2004, 01:06 AM Originally posted by Prushka Used S-bot 3.1 to quarantined some questionable registry files, which in turn caused some browser programs.
