I have a cable modem and Linux Mandrake 6.0.
but I can<t find How to set my cable modem setting in Linux. Please help me!!!!!

What means does your ISP use to give you an IP address? DHCP? or Static?
You need to find out which, and get other info like DNS servers, gateways, and hostnames. Then it's only a matter of going into linuxconf (or the control-panel, depending on distro) and entering the info.
Also, do you know if your NIC was detected during installation? Or do you have to set that up as well?

I think its DCHP, now my Ip address but the rest is unkown to me.

type startx to start x windows. Then you can setup your NIC by using linuxconf. Just type linuxconf in the console.
