tell which ones are and are not compatible, that is.
Hi,
I think that all modern modem are NT compatible. At home I am using a Hayes Accura Message Modem 33.6 (18 months old). At work we are using 3com (USR) Robotics 56.6 and a Pace Microlin 33.6.
The best thing you could do in order to check the NT compatibility is to check the modem manufacturer web site...

I seen several USR/3COM Win modems at work that will not work on NT4 Workstation. We returned them all for Sportsters and no problems since..

Hi
I don't think that the Winmodem is NT compatible. According to their web site, it is only compatible with Win 3.1/95/98

I have an older Winmodem-2 28.8 that I have not been able to make work in NT Workstation.
There are drivers that may well work on the newer 56K models available on USR's site.
GOOD LUCK!
