Norton internet security is preventing access to localhost:5225.

This is the address for the HP priner toolbox running tomcat (although i know nothing about tomcat, its just fyi).

I have chked through the settings of NIS and they seem to permit it. Loopback is configured to permit outgoing and incoming communications on all ports.

So, I am missing something. Can anyone help me find it? The only way i have managed to get this working is to include localhost in the home networking settings but my thinking is that if some communicaton on loopback is blocked by default it must be for a reason, so i am reluctant to permit all communication on localhost.

Cheers for helping out :)

Open NIS.

Choose Firewall. Click on Configure, choose the Home Network Tab and put the range of your LAN’s IP in the Trusted Zone.

This will Open all the Ports for Local Communication.
