Hi All
I have SpywareBlaster 2.61 running with the latest updates.
I've downloaded version 3.1 yo replace the old one. The problem is that when I go to Add remove programs, I can't uninstall it and got a message : " The uninstall log file "C:\program Files\SpywareBlaster\unins000.dat " is in a format not recognized by this version of the uninstaller. Cannot uninstall.
What can I do in this case? :) Is it ok to Install the version 3.1 without removing the 2.61 ?
Thanks in Advance

I'm unable to start my Pc in safe mode... Pressing F8 repeatedly is causing the PC to hang..
System Spec:

1 gig of Ram ( Kingston DDR 400, 512 X2 )

Yea, some pc's will choke if you keep beating on the F8 key.... so dont do that. ;)
Press it right when POST is finished or right when you see the XP logo.

Did you open spywareblaster and "disable all protection" and then close it, before you tried to uninstall?
As far as to whether or not you can install 3.1 without removing 2.61 I would ask at the link http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23

As cdroman said it needs to be disabled then closed before uninstalling.
They recommend that you uninstall before installing the new one.

I've had no problem simply installing 3.0, and then 3.1, over top of 2.6.

Hi sm8000
That's will be good. I'm gonna try to boot into safe mode and try to remove it, if I didn't succeed, Then I'll install Version 3.1 over the top of version 2.6
Cheers :t
