Absolutely out of ideas??

I'm having BIG problems with my new computer. I just got my new machine it contains:

PIII 450
320 MB PC100 Mem
Adaptec 2940 SCSI controller
Pioneer 32 X SCSI DVD/CDrom
2X IBM 9,1 GB SCSI disks
PlexWriter 4X SCSI writer
SB Live!
Asus P2B
3Com 3c905 TX and Rage Fury Tv-out.

I haven't got a singel game to work, I have tried Toca 2 Demo, Shogo, Alpa centariu, Worms armageddon, quake2 and Unreal. I have treid 2 different graphics drivers with no success. The games just locks up while loading. I then removed the graphic card and installed my old TNT, and that card behaves exactly as the Rage fury? So it's not the graphic card or its drivers, what could it be. I have allso disabled the network card so it's not that either.

do you have directx 6 or 6.1 installed?

Try some older game what don`t need directx, windows. Look into directx diagnostic maybe directx don`t have drivers to your video or sound card. Disable sound.

Thanks for you help. I did have DirectX 6.1 installed. What I did was reinstalling Win98 and it solved all my problems......

pretty radical solution if you think about it, but it works, right?

cat sick, reinstall windows. car won't start , reinstall windows. changed an icon, reinstall windows. i'd move to linux if i could play games on it. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
