Problems with LG DRD 8080b

Hi,

I have a strange problem with DVD LG DRD 8080b. Well, first important info.

OS: Windows 2K Pro, 2x hdds on 1IDE, have NEC CDRW and used to have CD-ROM on a second IDE. Replaced CD-ROM for the DVD-rom. So right now DVD-rom is a master or 2nd IDE and CDRW is a slave on second IDE. Windows seems to detect the DVD-rom. Although, if I put dvd or cd in it, then I get the message 'insert disk into the drive'.

I have updated ASPI and have version 4.6 now. Played with DMA and PIO on 2nd IDE. Still no luck.

And yes, the DVD-ROM did work on the other PC.

Any ideas?

Replace the IDE cable, check all pins carefully and then try Cable Select jumpering (or Master/Slave if you are using CS).
