I put a password on my BIOS a few months ago and now I can't remember it. There are now jumper settings that can clear my CMOS or anything. Does anyone know how I can solve this problm?

Vjeko 03-31-1999, 11:20 PM If it's bios from Award Software, maybe I can help... if not... sorry.. paxman 03-31-1999, 11:24 PM Yes, it is AwardBIOS Vjeko 03-31-1999, 11:41 PM Try typing "AWARD_SW" as bios password. It's been used as a backdoor password on early issues from Award. Remember that it's got to be in uppercase. Let me know how it goes, ok? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif kwai 04-01-1999, 04:54 AM pull the cmos battery (the lithium one that looks like a watch battery) for a bit. ANTONIO E GUERRA 04-01-1999, 07:49 AM Hi! try to clear the cmos by removing the jumper or the battery. Thanks, Vjeko, I did not know about the backdoor to the Award bios. I appreciate the info. Good luck! Vjeko 04-01-1999, 08:08 PM I'm glad I could help ;o) Vjeko 04-02-1999, 12:18 AM There is another thing one could do if it comes to this.... Search "hacking-sites" and such för small applications that find your bios password... ;o) SysOpt.com
