I put a password on my BIOS a few months ago and now I can't remember it. There are now jumper settings that can clear my CMOS or anything. Does anyone know how I can solve this problm?

Yes, it is AwardBIOS

Try typing "AWARD_SW" as bios password. It's been used as a backdoor password on early issues from Award. Remember that it's got to be in uppercase.

Let me know how it goes, ok? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

pull the cmos battery (the lithium one that looks like a watch battery) for a bit.

Hi! try to clear the cmos by removing the jumper or the battery. Thanks, Vjeko, I did not know about the backdoor to the Award bios. I appreciate the info. Good luck!

There is another thing one could do if it comes to this....
Search "hacking-sites" and such för small applications that find your bios password... ;o)
