Why has the price of PC100 RAM gone thru the roof?

I wanted to buy some, but forget it. It's 3x more than it was just a few months ago. What's the deal?

Manufacturers over produced, and dumped some now they want more money and are with holding to bring prices back up.

This is the time of the year for prices on hardware and memory to sky rocket.Christmas is on the corner and school started back up again and all the students need computer /forum/smile.gif lol. So the manufactures know this,so of corse thier being greedy.Have fun /forum/smile.gif

I just bought 128 MB SDRAM PC100 at CompUSA today for 150.00 - 50.00 rebate = 100.00.
