Hi,

How do you make a default bookmark folder?

Whenever i try to bookmark a page, each and every time I have to choose the "Boomarks Folder" listed in the drop down list.

If i don't do that, on pressing CTRL D, Mozilla takes a random folder, listed under Bookmark, as default and places the bookmark in that folder.

Sometimes the bookmarks are in IE favorites or someother folder.

If i change the setting to "bookmarks" folder then somehow or the other Firefox doesnot save it. next time around its some other folder.

So my bookmarks are scatterred around in folders.

Any way to set the default bookmark folder to "Bookmarks" as listed in the menu list?

Thanks

Go to manage bookmarks, I have firebird and mozilla and netscape all seem to have the same bookmark managing tool so go there. Should see a bar with your username if you setup a profile under that it should say personal toolbar folder. Sometime they give you folders with other bookmarks in them like yahoo, yellow pages etc. Delete all of those under personal toolbar and make a new folder or as many folders as you like that can go on the browsers toolbar for quick reference and or in options or preferences set current page as opening page.
