I need to put a computer onto a computer.I am going to use the svideo connection but the svideo 2 svideo cable that i have got dosnt work. the connecters on my graphics card is a svideo. there are two rows of pins the top row has 4 pins and the second row has 3 pins. then at the top there is a black bit.

but the cable that i have has 2 pins on the left and 2 pins on the right then a black bit at the top.

basicly the pin configerations are different so on the projector i only get black and white.

can i get a cable that uses up all the pins that are on the graphics card.

Yeah, they're relatively inexpensive at any electronics store.

Often, the socket on a video card will be a proprietory type that you can't just plug an s-video cable into.
An old geforce I used to have cane bundled with a small splitter cable that has a composite and an s-video connector.
I tested the adaptor with a multimeter and the s-video pin-out in the plug that went into the vid card was nothing like the s-video standard on tvs and projectors.
