Hi, I just added more ram on a Dell GxPro Pentium 200. Once i booted I get this error to press F1 to continue. What does it mean.
At first it wouldnt boot up and it will say "disk error failure...press F1 to continue or F2 for setup". I did go to set up and the bios do read addtionnal ram....What is wrong now??
Thanks

Sounds like your new RAM is not compatible with the old. Possibly mixed PC100 and 66? Possibly EDO/Fastpage, possibly any kind of mismatch will cause this, especially in IBM's, Compaq's, some PB's, and some HP's.
Take your RAM out, and compare the new with the old. Take them both back to where you purchased the new, and make sure the tech there matches your new with old...
Cheers, Jim
