I just tried overclocking my ABIT BH-6 w/PII 400 CPU. I set the clock to 112mhz, x4 mult, 2/3 AGP/CPU, 2.0volt. When I boot, it says CPU is unworkable or that I've changed the CPU settings. I hit F1 to continue and the PC works fine at 448mhz. BUT when I re-boot, the bios automatically resets the cpu to 266 and forgets my previous settings (again gives me that unworkable/changed cpu settings line). When I use the 100mhz, it reboots fine everytime, but for some reason, keeps forgetting/resetting my settings. I don't know how to remedy this and I'd appreciate any help!
did you have this problem before you started overclocking?
did you try to flash your bios -- might be that the flash didn't take hold completely. try flashing again following abit's instructions to the letter.
if it doesn't cost too much, try changing your battery on the mb.
actually none of these sound like really likely solutions, but can't think of anything else it would be. i sometimes get those messages after a unsuccessful o'c, but after i return to default settings, they go away.

I disabled the CPU speed setting as someone suggested--it's fine now, thank you!
