CMOS Checksum Error ?? Help

Hi, I get the following error on my computer when i booted. "CMOS Checksum Error" ...I'm not to sure but is this related with the battery. ? Do I need to replace the battery?

You will get this msg when the cmos battery is dead.go to radio shack pick one up fer 2 bucks and replace it.If you have made any tweaks to your bios you will have to reset them as it cannot remeber them without the battery.
