Just gotten hold of this as the last copy of the NHL series ive got is 2002, however its being problematic. There's a lot of web integration in the menu system and things (its written in HTML much of it) and for some reason i keep getting HTMl/IE scripting errors and images arent appearing (red X syndrome), making the game more or less unplayable (i cant see what im doing at all so i cant even get beyond the menu's).
By all accounts this isnt a rare problem, however i cant find a solution, if anyone does have one, i would be grateful if you could let me know
Cheers

Well, ive updated the game to the latest version 1.4 (at least AFAIK thats the latest version) and tried all EA has to suggest here:
http://eatech.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/eatech.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=fsl_WC9h&p_lva=&p_faqid=12915&p_created=1069433347&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9ncmlkc29ydD0mcF9yb3dfY250PTM3J nBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9JnBfc2VhcmNoX3R5cGU9MyZwX3Byb2R fbHZsMT0zNzAmcF9wcm9kX2x2bDI9NDE2JnBfY2F0X2x2bDE9f mFueX4mcF9jYXRfbHZsMj1_YW55fiZwX3NjZl9mYXFzKmMkcGx hdGZvcm09MTgyJnBfc29ydF9ieT1kZmx0JnBfcGFnZT0x&p_li=
to no avail, i even ran Windows update, which for me amounts to a cardinal sin, and still no go.
Any ideas elsewhere?
Cheers

Disable your firewall and any pop-up/ad blockers. Try putting the security settings down.

Tried all that already, still a no-go'er :(

OK, just make sure there are not hidden any ad-blockers that some program you have running in the background has enabled, I know that will cause the little x on the pic sometimes.
Try this...
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=318378
You might have an active x program running that is causing the problem, look through your activex program and remove any ones that you dont need. Not sure off the top of my head of a free one, I know norton systemworks has one, and im sure there are plenty if you google it.
