My friend is unable to change the homepage setting in his Explorer 6 browser. The homepage was originally set to google before it suddenly changed to "dopdolu.net" and it's grayed out.

He has gone into the registry and made what he thought was the necessary changes but it didn't seem to work. He also ran Adaware and Spybot Search & Destroy. Still, no affect.

Does anyone know of any other suggestions?

He's using Windows 2K.

hello..i believe you are dealing with a trojan...somehow you pal downloaded it and now it is taking over as trojans do...first..download some type of spyare/trojan software...it should see it and be able to remove it.if not simply do a search for the address in google etc and there will be information on how to remove it...sencond..get your pal to download some type of firewall to prevent future occurences...hope this helps
