I have an old wingman 3001 joystick and a microsoft gamepad that I want to set up on my new system.

My old system ran a sb live card that had the 15 pin connector. My new motherboard AbitNF7-S only has usb ports. I got the adapter to convert 15 pin to usb but my system (win 2k) will not recognize it. I downloaded what I thought was the latest drivers, maybe someone has a better source.

Any ideas?

Can I install the old sb live card and only enable the game controller on it?

No dice. SB live installed fine and used the game controller only as suggested. I guess I cannot run these on win 2k. Neither of these devices are found.

Can't find the appropriate drivers for Logitech wingman 3001, and Microsoft Sidewinder game pad (win 95)

Can anyone find anything else, or is it time to buy a new stick?

Game controllers are a funny thing. Sometimes, you can only add them in the Control Panel under (you guessed it) Game Controllers.

How old are these controllers?? you mentioned windows 95?

Some conrollers will not work on the more recent OS's like XP and maybe W2K....

I had a controller that worked fine on my old motherboard and found it does not work n XP or XP Pro.....hence..your system will not recognize it....regardlless of the plug adapter......

Why don't you just get a more recent controller...they are not very expensive...

I guess I will have to just break down and do it. I don't use it all that much so I just hoped I could get it to work.

Thanks for everyone's help....
