i dont really know of any official specs but what i can tell you is that Half Life 2 is going to be designed so that people with older computers will be able to play (dodgy resolutions of course) and ive heard that they have even made it so that a TNT2 will be enough to play it but im thinking no gamer would even want to try lol but i can say that your computer will be sufficient for playable framerates and acceptable graphics. but yeah your video card is the only worry for you but maybe a bit of overclocking could enhance HL2 somewhat:t
Hey! The developers of HL 2 really think about people with old computers. At least, I can play HL 2 with my computer.
Hehehehehe...
As I can't upgrade my PC every year, I have to make do with anything I have now.

Vide card wise the minimum spec is a direct X 6 based card, so we're talkin real old, think TNT2 and your there. However, that will be to play the game using the original HL engine (the games graphics/engine adjust to your hardware, as necessary
As for CPU and Memory, well goodness only knows, but i would say well over 1Ghz for the CPU and probably 512mb of RAM, at a guess.

At least, my PC can support HL 2 but can't support Doom 3.
Anyway, my PC is not that old either.

At the moment, I'm afraid that a 2.8ghz P4, 1 gig PC3200 DDR, Audigy 2 ZS, and Geforce FX 5900 won't be enough by the time this game is released. I may be looking to upgrade at some point closer to the release of that game. However, my system stands firm for the moment. :x
Your specs are for Doom 3??

I posted this a while back.
This is a nicely detailed lay out on what Cards can take HL2, what settings are best, and it should be able to answer most of the "Can my Video Card take it Question", hope this helps some of you guys/gals answer some of your Q's its a nice read to

Cheeseman, with the graphics not fully loaded up to high, you should be in good shape for medium graphics. Definetialy playable, but as stated, not on the extreme high quality.:t
By the time the game is out, I think I can afford one good card.
