I just got a P-4 3.2 800 fsb, socket 478 cpu & cant' decide on a motherboard, I'm not a gamer, the 2 boards I've been looking at heavily are the MSI Neo2-PFS (Platinum), & the Abit AI7 they both have the 865 chipset & serial raid, the MSI price is a little better, but which do you guys think is the better more stable board?
Are there any new boards that actually have the true raid out there with a extra IDE port instead of the serial raid, or is the serial raid the better choice?

They are both 'stable" - depending on a lot of other factors. I have yet to see an unstable motherboard.
PATA (parallel ATA) RAID is really hard to find integrated anymore - especially on Intel boards. You can always add a PATA card from Promise or Highpoint if you want it.

You can't go wrong with MSI, ABIT, ASUS, or Gigabyte, but if you are not an overclocker then look at Intels boards too, they are stable and great, just they don't overclock at all.:t :t

I'm not a gamer or overclocker, where can I check prices on Intel boards, & which one would you recommend?
Do MSI boards carry a 3 yr. warranty?
