I've just installed the Evergreen Spectra 333 on an Aptiva M71. The Spectra install software seems to think everything is OK, and claim a 5x (?) performance improvement over the former P-133. The trouble is the system does not boot up properly ... the BIOS doesn't recognize the processor speed. If I simply bypass this error msg (exiting the POST error screen w/o any action), all softwares/hardwares seem to run OK. The motherboard is set at 66Mhz (I double checked this). It's sort of a pain having to bypass the error msg everytime the system boots up. Would appreciate any idea that might resolve this problem.

System info:
Aptiva M71 2168-3R9
IBM Surepath BIOS - BGOUSIL - 12/29/98
WIN 95
Opti Viper Chipset
Original CPU: Pentium 133
32Mb RAM
256K Cache
2M Video RAM
MB jumper set for 66Mhz bus

It is my humble opinion that you are going to have to live with the BIOS error message.
