I am going to be upgrading a system of mine soon, I am focusing basically on the processor. My processor isn't new (P-133Mhz) and nor are most of the parts inside of it. I want to upgrade the processor to a Celeron 350Mhz. (I have a 1GIG hard drive and 16 megs of memory.) Before installing the new processor, will there be any other features I will need to upgrade? (ex. memory, hard drive, motherboard, anything?)

Depends on the rest of your system. Is your case AT or ATX? remember if you're going to reuse the old case, you need it to fit that. Plus, if it's a proprietary case, you won't be able to use it. I would go with a bigger drive, but it won't be necessary right away, unless of course that's proprietary too (I've actually seen them in Acer Aspire 'puters!). Not to mention your CD and Floppy; those can also be proprietary. You're going to need RAM as the boards you put a Celeron in will need SDRAM. If your current 'puter has onboard video or sound, well count those out of the ride. Plus, i would spend the extra cash to get a motherboard and seperate

Plus, i would spend the extra cash to get a motherboard and separate sound and video cards unless lackluster performance wont affect what you use the 'puter for. Of course, if you do get a new case, don't count out a new case fan. Small and inexpensive, but easy to forget about. Lastly (I think), you may have to get a new mouse and keyboard (or adapters) if the connection vary between your current ones and the new board connections. I think that about wraps it up. Pretty much have to see what you have to decide what you need to get. Trust me, it's easier than finding out you need to buy more stuff right when you thought you were done because of some proprietary part.
