just curious, is there a specific reason why you need a USB headset?

when i checked on newegg.com, USB headsets seemed pretty pricey, but regular headsets for your mic jack are pretty reasonably priced

Well I thought that with a USB port connector was the only way I could get a headset but with what you just said I guess I was wrong. But now why do the USB connector headsets cost so much more? Is it a better connection?
