Hey, anyone here know if it is possible to overclock an Intel Pentium II 400Mhz processor with 96mb of 100Mhz sdram????? This may seem stupid, but in my opinion, I can never have enough speed =).

Bleeding Edge 03-24-1999, 08:43 PM i know you can increase the FSB safely to 112/117MHz for a relative 450MHz and if your Dimms are the C2 (CAS latency of 2) you probably can push a relative 500MHz at a FSB of 133MHz. Increasing the Front Side Bus frequency does increase the PCI bus. So there is a consideration of the PCI cards and devices being able to keep up (function properly) or not. You know. I'm not certain if all batches of PII400's can accept a increased clock mutiplier. Surely someone will let us know. SysOpt.com
