Giblet Plus! 04-15-2004, 05:58 PM Wow, my own pc on the frontpage! :) Here's what the outside looks like: http://depot.northwestern.edu/eno819/pictures/system2.jpg Yoshi 04-15-2004, 10:45 PM Mmmmmm Cooooookie:p cuelebre 04-28-2004, 11:21 PM Question ?? How the pump is working out....500 GPH seams like a lot me. Thinking to do something like that but using a 350 or even a 250, Any special reason to use a 500?? How do you bleed the air??? Thanks. DozerLYP 04-29-2004, 01:38 AM and this is the Koolance system. i think it look prety cool too. i just can't wait to have it running. and i know there is no Ram in. i hade the wrong one, and i'm waiting for the right one to come in tomorow or so... The pump is slightly more powerful than I need, but it's not the 500 gph that is the problem. 500 gph only means that the pump moves 500 gph with no restrictions. The moment the pump is stuck in a watercooling loop the actual gph goes down. The main predictor of pump performance in a watercooling loop is head height, which is how far the pump can pump water straight up. This is a better measure of how the pump can move water through a restrictive watercooling loop than the flowrate at 0' of head is. My pump probably only moves water at 130ish gph through my setup because it is restrictive. I just got the Danner Mag 5 on a whim. I later learned that the Mag 3 is a better combination of power used and maximum pump head. Both the Mag 3 and the Mag 5 have a maximum head height of 10'. If you're researching a new setup, you should also check out the swiftech MCP600. I use a T-Line to fill my setup. I don't like bay reservoirs because they tend to hurt the flowrate of the system and actually make it harder to completely bleed because of air bubbles. Feel free to PM me with questions and read my watercooling guide on www.gibbed.tk cuelebre 04-29-2004, 05:49 PM Thanks. I think I'll go with a 350, that sould do. I'm planning the set-up with 1/2 " tube without any 90* elbows to avoid as much restriction as possible. I really don't understand about the bleeding ...but I'll figure it out thanks. Bat25 05-01-2004, 12:21 AM That means you won't need and upgrade anytime soon FX51=fast system. DozerLYP 05-01-2004, 01:30 AM yea i should be good for a wile.:r i'm trying to instal all my hardware drivers right now. that will keep me busy for a wile too:D P.S. i never seen Windows XP load so fast in my life:x Vampiel 05-07-2004, 05:05 AM Well then youve never seen one of these. http://www4.tomshardware.com/cpu/20040419/index.html Or one of theses... http://www4.tomshardware.com/cpu/20031230/index.html 5 GHz Project: CPU Cooling With Liquid Nitrogen DozerLYP 05-07-2004, 11:46 AM that is crazy!!!:x causticVapor 05-13-2004, 08:11 PM Awesome, professional job, GP, as usual. I'm wondering how much vibration the mag 5 transmits to the case, with the padding installed and so forth. My Mag 3 required significant padding and grommeting before the vibration transmission was reduced to a no-rattle level. I imagine it'd be worse with the Mag5. I also had to rip the whole system out because the Mag 3 started leaking. The epoxy in the cracks is setting in. NOTE - others - try to keep on-topic. cuelebre 05-14-2004, 12:29 AM Where did it crack?? NoOtherMaster 06-08-2004, 04:04 PM I know this has nothing to do about what you are talking about, but i feel it should be said. DozerLYP, windows xp is 32bit and you have a 64bit processor ( pretty sure you already knew that ). hence forth, windows runs your porcessor at 32 bit, and windows does not support amd's 64bit processors. you will be able to use your comps full potential in arround fall of 2005. thats when "longhorn" should be ready for we people. Vampiel 06-08-2004, 06:05 PM Nope, windows supports 64-bit.... today and yesterday and the day before yesterday. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/downloads/upgrade.asp:D SysOpt.com
