Did it just start happening suddenly? Does it happen on every website you browse? That usually occurs when an image isn't available on a website, may be a temporary issue...

Its on every site.x"s everywhere.It didnt happen suddenly.

Go into the Tools menu -> Internet Options -> Advanced pane -> make sure that "Show Pictures", under the Multimedia area, is checked

That was the very first thing i tried.Made sure it was checked marked.maybe i will go out and buy internet explore 6 and instal it.

did you make sure you don't have any spyware or viruses?

I've got the same problem and so have a few of my friends. Only the default browser seems to be affected, so a quick solution is to just install another.

So this has happened from day 1 of using Internet Explorer?
I'll assume that on the system you're running you are on dial-up... what is your connection speed?

Have you tried a repair install of Internet Explorer?
