That is priced nice. Would I buy it -- no. I never buy cheap cases with cheap PSU's. You will not be able to OC it much with that RAM. Again, the price is right but you get what you pay for. Buying cheap parts usually leads to trouble.

Good luck! :D

yes... I know its not a heavy gamer....we aren't OC'n

but for a medium quality board capable of 400Mhz FSB
a barton core CPU
Ultra is good stable ram @ 512....

as a barebone

is it worth the money

You obviously want to buy it so buy it. I just don't like the PSU. The MB, CPU and RAM should work fine. At the price you are paying, you can always upgrade the PSU (Brand not size) if/when needed. You cannot buy the MB, CPU, and RAM seperatly for $200.

Good luck! :D

maybe this is too little too late but note that while the board is able to do 400mhz, the ram is not.

but then again, the barton isnt at 400mhz so i guess that's ok since you dont want to OC.
personally i would just build my own.

that Biostar motherboard is good to go up to PC3200 400Mhz
from the "detailed specs" on the given webpage link

thanks though...bought the system its together and running
after a CDRW-DVD combo and a Seagate 120G and a radeon 128mb video card DDR

and after rebates ... ~ $400 total in the system

it ain't primo cadillac parts but then again not bottom of the line generic...
just a stable home system I think with good speed and a good base for upgradability

I compared to all the proprietary stuff out there at econo prices (Dell Gateway Compaq) and couldn't touch it

so thanks...yep building is better than buying fer sure
