A few months back I flash my bios to rid myself of the "Check Sum error" all worked well. Now I'm upgrading motherboards and have a feeling the bios flash must be hidden on the hard disk and trying to flash a different brand of motherboard. Can I remove that flash??? TYIA

When you flash your bios, it changes the ROM chips, etc. and they not stored on the hard drive. On some systems, CMOS settings are stored on the hard drive in a non dos partition. What it does is change the commands on parts of the motherboard.

Hope that helps.
