I just purchased I quantum viking II, and after installation my hardware list says that the driver is working fine. However, the is no icon or letter for it in "my computer." Thus, on one side I being told that the driver is working ok, and yet I can't access it. My scsi cdrom is working ok. Does this sound like something that could be caused by improper termination? In Quantum's FAQ for its scsi driver it says that they come terminated by default, so I did not worry much about termination. Please help.

Well...which device is first on the chain.....
then make sure you have the SCSI ID's set right...lowest for you hard drive, and yes....you have to terminate the cable but it should have came with one. Also...if your cdrom WAS the last device then check the jumpers on it to NOT terminate. Only have the LAST device in the chain set to terminate with jumpers AND terminate the cable...all should be ok then.
