I just built a new machine friday, here are the specs:

Antec Super Lanboy - case
Antec Truepower 550w - power supply
Abit NF7-S - motherboard
Athlon XP 3200+ Barton 400FSB - processor
Corsair TwinX (512MB x 2) 1GB DDR400 - memory
Built by ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB - video card
NEC ND-2500A Black DVD+RW/-RW - optical drive

I am having issues, mainly in EverQuest. Usually it crashes during gameplay. Last night I played about 3 hours then the machine went to a black screen and the signal light on the monitor started blinking. The night before that, it just rebooted in the middle of the game. Last night I ran 3dmark03 looped with Sandra Burn-In looped in the background, and this morning when I turned on the monitor, I had a weird screen all different colors and the machine wouldn't respond to keyboard commands. Processor, video card, and RAM are all running stock frequency. I noticed some things though and read up some on the internet about the Radeon series. In my BIOS, Fast Write was enabled, and in the ATI control panel Write Combine and VPU recover was enabled. I disabled all 3 of those. I will test these settings tonight to see how it does.

I am using nVidia Unified Driver package v3.13 on the Abit NF7-S, and ATI Catalyst Driver v4.3 on the 9800 Pro. I am hoping after disabling the Fast Write, Write Combine, and VPU Recover the card acts right. Anyone else having these types of errors with their Radeons? It's been a little buggy, but the card runs awesome when it is in game though. All you 9800 Pro owners out there share your experiences.

Drop back to an older driver for the 9800Pro. Cat 3.7 at first. See if the problem persists.
