Hei,

I have a keyboard problem: I connect a PS/2 keyboard to a Abit BH6 motherboard. I works fine. But when program crashes, the keyboard seizes to respond. When press the reset key on the chasis, I have no problem booting, but the keyboard won't respond. However, if I turn off the power and turn on again, everything is back to normal. What can be the problem? My keyboard is old type PS/2, not win95 natural keyboard. Could it be the reason? Or there is something wrong with the keyboard port on motherboard?

I am very greatful for any suggestions. Thanks all.

it could be that just your keyboard is faulty. and NO it is not because it is not a microsoft keyboard (or did you mean it doesn't have a 'windows' button? that shouldn't cause any problems either). if i were you, i'd try to buy a reasonably cheap keyboard and try it with that. if the problem still exists then its likely its the motherboard and you should exchange it ASAP. anyway, its good to have a spare keyboard around for situations just like this.
