My CD Burner shows up in "My Computer" as a CDRom drive. This is common as it's the same on both of my computers. This wouldn't be a concern except I installed "Creative Mediasource Organizer" to copy files to my MP3 player. If I try to use it to copy to my CD burner, it sees it as a CD Rom drive and won't copy files to it. I've got Windows XP and all the current updates installed. The burners are Acer/Benq drives, couldn't find help on there website either.
Thanks.

Since your CD burner is not a Creative MP3 player, why does that surprise you?

I can copy files to my MP3 Player(drive h) fine, but the software can also be used to copy files to another drive as well, specifically my CD Burner(drive d), only it doesn't recognize the d drive as a CD- RW, just a CDRom.

Have you tried updating the software for the player?

It's got the latest drivers and the firmware is not upgradable. This is a Acer 10-8-12 and I guess it's a couple of years old, maybe the newer burners will show up as CD-RW's in "My Computer". May be time to upgrade to a DVD Burner anyway!
Thanks!
