I used KillCMOS to reset the CMOS from windows 98 and it stopped to boot and some error codes came up indicating that there were some undefined date and configuration errors. It also asked for power-on password an di passed it to the next error screen. The everything sopped there.

I am wondering whether I can reset CMOS by resetting the CMOS pins ? But how?

Thanks

If I understand you correctly you want reset bios by jumper. If so you need look into mobo manual and find out where is the bios reseting jumper. With some mobo-s you must connect bios jumber pins and then start computer. With some you must just short pins. Maybe you need take away bios batterey.

the cmos reset jumper is usually jp12 or jp2. This is not written in stone however. Consult the MB manual for exact setting.

The CMOS jumper on a Alton VX Pro pentium mb is jp1 with normal mode - jumper on p1p2, and erase CMOS -jumper on p2p3. Good Luck, devjoy
