Wrong partition table

I have a serious problem (at least I think so)
When my computer is supposed to boot Wrong partition table cannot continue the installation comes up right after "verifying DMI pool data. I have tried formating it but nothing works. When I installed it on my other computer as slave (master on the other)
I could acess the disk and even copy files from it. The problem is that I can't format it on the first copmuter because I can't reach DOS (I've tried bootdisk) it's ok if the disk is crashed but I want to boot my computer even if it takes another harddrive.

When switching from Slave to Master, are you also changing the jumpers On the hard drive.

Yes of course. The problem is that it didn't happen when I did so but when i shut down.
