If there is a market for it, you know someone is going to try to capitalize on it. The fact that they still give a warranty on overclocked cards is pretty cool. I know the 5900XT is capable of much more.

Intel logo? are you using a popup blocker? if not, try the google toolbar. :)

This is a cool idea, but it really doesn't offer anything to the people that overclock to save money, because I'm sure BFG will raise the price on the OCed cards. But who knows, maybe the price increase wont be all that much. Either way, I think these new factory-OCed cards will sell.

$229 msrp seems pretty competitively priced compared to other cards. Compusa sells the PNY 5900SE for $219.

That takes all the fun out of doing it yourself in my opinion.

knyte: for some reason the first reply to news threads always has that nasty HP logo overlapping the reply box :(

As for the over clocking, cool. Im all for a card that actually has a warrenty even though its being pushed beyond its intended means. Although this also means the card will last a few days longer than your warrenty and THEN break :D

Hmmm. not getting that logo overlap problem here. maybe it's my resolution? only 1024x768 at work, but I'm running 1280x960 at home. whatevers, cuz.

It doesn't say that you can't overclock higher either. They are just using a higher default. Some people may be scared to OC (not me, hehe), so this is the niche market that BFG is targetting.

I've heard good things about BFG and their warranties, not like PNY which is "lifetime of the product". That means they'll only send you a replacement if they are still making the card. pretty lame.
