Nightfire Problems

I need help with running Night Fire on the PC. It was running fine when i first got it. But when i tried to get a new video card it wouldn't work. I put in my old video card and it runs but nothing comes up. It says it is running but when i say to switch to it nothing happeneds. Does anybody know how to fixs this!:t

Just Kidding. But I don't know if you should open up this thread in another forum, like for video cards or something. But right now your computer needs some serious upgrades. And if you can't upgrade it. *cough* BREAK THE COMPUTER *cough* But you need a new one.

I think it was a Nvidia put for some reason it didn't fit.

Well did you go into vga mode and uninstall the drivers (press F8 before the windows loading screen)?

no he doesn't need a new computer, just because he can't afford/doesn't want to run the latest hardware doesn't mean he shouldn't play games and the like on the PC he has. Heck, I'm running a 1.4Tbird with PC133 ram and 5k4rpm disks :p

ATI and Nvidia are completely uncompatible, we are assuming you uninstalled all your old ATI drivers before starting with the nvidia stuff?

He doesn't know how to uninstallall the old drivers, and the computer that he has is a dell and it only works with certian cards. But he can't find any. I think thats the main problem.:p

It's probobly and AGP (brown or green slot) and you were trying to put it into a PCI slot (white slot)

That means you probobly bough a PCI video card. Return it and tell them you want the AGP version of it.

No one noticed that diego_dillon requires a low-profile card? Those are hard to find, but they exist.

Frankly, I would go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and uninstall the ATi. Next, go to the ATi web site and download/install new drivers.
