NEW HARD DRIVE: partition setup ideas?

please post best partition setup for 8.4G IBM. i have Partition Magic. would like to include swapfile. active, hidden, logical?? any help much appreciated..

Personally, I like to make a small (approx 500 MB) for Windows. The rest of the disk I make into 2 gig partitions for data.I make the OS partition small because I reinstall Windows alot. I also do this because I like to keep garbage(i.e., Windows) localized to a small area. I personally do not use FAT32, because sometimes I boot with a DOS 6.22 disk. The OS must reside on a primary partition(unless it is NT or Linux). Your other partitions must be logical partitions, unless you want multiple OS boot options. Then you can create other primary partitions, but only one can be active at a time.
