I have a large Visual Basic application, which uses serial communication between two computers. It works fine under WINDOWS 98, but when transferred to WINDOWS 2000 the serial communication between the 2 machines fails (error messages about negative string length and similar complaints).
The program had not been changed, and works fine in every other respect. Can anyone help in explaining/resolving this?
Thanks,

Since this is a remote connection, there may be an issue with permissions or the RAS setup.

Moved to Networking for the "wireheads" to examine. ;)
