Well what else could he do. Thousands of people gave him money and if he was to refund it all to those who donated the bank comisison fees and stuff like that would probably cost more than the actual donated ammount.

um, he still kept $750. Gained under false pretences and not used for the donated intention.

Playing a dangerous game there!

What makes you think any donated money is actually used for the stated intention? Do you know how much the CEO of the Red Cross or Salvation Army makes?

no, but the money is donated to the charity to run said charity. Paying the CEO and what-have-ya is part of the charity (regardless of your opinons of how much he recieves)

From that link it suggests the money was donated to pay for legal fees against MS, now he's donated some to a charity, and kept some for Uni. Nought to do with MS there....

I personally don't have a problem - he could have kept it all after all, but he should be wary of doing things like that.

I can't believe this jerk got bribed by the $25 or so it would take to switch domains and a free xbox.
He then tries to look good by donating 'some' of the money to some kiddie clinic no one has ever heard of after taking a big enough cut to let him go to college!
How much did he get for selling the microsoft lawer stuff on eBay?
