Monitor visual quality

without regard to differences in footprint between LCD and analog monitors, which technology provides the best overall visual quality?

I am interested in crispness of picture (density and sharpness) as well as vivid color defination.

Secondly, any suggestions regarding brand?

Samsung 19" Flat CDT 957MB

CRT's are more crisp and have a better quailty picture than LCD's.

Just look for something with a flat screen and .20 pitch, Samsung is a very good brand for monitor quality.
